help a mac user

I downloaded limewire on my mac os 9.1, got it installed and got the alias on the desktop. When I click it the program starts and a box comes out saying

unable to launch java application unable to locate the application's 'main' class The class 'com.limewire.gnutella.gui.Main' must be public and have a 'public static void main(sting())' method. LAX

is there anything I can do? What does all this mean? Please help a mac user.

Download this LimeWire version:
http://www3.limewire.com/download/2.9.8/
and if that does not work, try this one:
http://www3.limewire.com/download/2.8.6/

thanks. My problem is that I have a basic internet connection and it takes me an hour to download every version. I'll try as soon as I have a bit (a big bit) of time.

you might want to check out Road Runner or a DSL provider. i have Road runner with wideopenwest (WOW) and 1.5 megs of pure speed and my downloads take at max a few minuets.
