I download files from Limewire as either .sit or .img files but can't open them. When I double click on them to unstuff them or open the image file, the Limewire application opens up as the front window and nothing happens.

HELP!! any suggestions????

drag the .sits onto stuffit expander (check the iSupport menu in expander for the latest version), and the .img files onto Disk Copy. Looks like your Finder has lost track of the file mapping and is saving all files as LW docs. Which OS are you using?

I've got the same problems than Funnyboygraphics,as some files downloads as either .zip that I can't open too.

I have the same problem. Files with .dmg would not open or mount image.

Fabrice 2003, try this. Search for Stuffit Expander and open it. Then go to the Edit menu and come down to Preferences. When the Preferences window comes up, scroll down and click Internet at the bottom of the preferences window. Then click the button that says use Stuffit Expander for all available types.
