Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I try to install LW... nothing happens. The intaller runs, the clock icon pops up and then just disapaers into thin air. After that some files are dropped into my trashcan: InstallAnywhere SEA.log, IA JavaInstaller (delete) 30198 and IA MRJInstaller (delete) 348966.

My OS is 9.2.2 (with Norton Firewall (turned off during intalliation), could this be the problem?)

Please, any help is appriciated!!!!

THNX,

BM

Do you have Mac OS Runtime for Java (MRJ) installed? If you don't, you can download it at the following URL: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75097 once you install MRJ you can download Macintosh (NoVM) version of LimeWire. I hope this helps.

I did it before even trying to install LW and it still didn't work.

Same problem

I have the same problem!!! When I try to istall LimeWire the same folders appears into the trash:IA JavaInstaller (delete) 10066; IA MRJInstaller (delete) 174483 and the arquive InstallAnywhere SEA.log
I have istalled MRJ 2.2.5 but I'm not sure that it is working (or running).

I miss LimeWire, because I used to work a lot with this software ...how can I buy the PRO version if the freeware doesn't work?!!

Anybody HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Daniel and burningmonk,

Try this. Install LimeWire with extensions off. Hold down the shift key when you start up your Mac. After it starts up see if you can install LimeWire.

doesn't works

I did what you recommended (install LimeWire with extensions off), and occured the same. When I try to install appears that folders in the trash...
I install MRJ 2.2.5, but I don't know if it is working...
Reading this forum, I see that many people had the same problem.
What can I do, now!!!

lw pro

don't bother buying LW pro, because you'll have the same problems. Unless you get LW basic to work Pro won't make a difference. I know from experience. $18 wasted.

and now...?!!!

SPEARSON,

It's better I give up installing LimeWire?!! I have tried what you recommended but It still installing the folders in the trash. I tried to put off the trash that folders, but it doesn't works anyway.

I'm very dissapointed with this, because LimeWire was my principal sharing software... Do you have other idea to my problem?!!!

Yes, PRO is different from basic but the difference is not really worth $20 unless you are a fan of the program in general.
