I paid for Limewire Pro and don't think It updated it, help?

Hello, I paid for Limewire Pro a month or so ago, did the download and followed all of the prompts. But, my limewire I have now is the exact same setup as the free old one. It still says "Limewire", not "Limewire Pro". Where did my $18.00 go ? for the "Pro" version???!!!!

Thanks for your response

Thanks for your response, I followed the email prompts and downloaded what looked right, followed it all to a site that should download a 2.2.5 version of something and it took me to a Java download site. Now I'm lost.
I have a Mac OS 9.2. I've been trying to download a Mac OS 10 system so that all this new stuff can work, but can't find one that does. Help, please help....

murasame December 26th, 2004 11:58 AM

Uh, "download" Mac OS 10? Really?
Gee, I didn't know that Apple did that.
Why don't you just go by the stuff and be happy cause if something goes wrong (if you are talking about downloading a crack of Mac OS X then it will probably be missing a couple of things) then you just pop up the disc you bought and presto! All well again.

being a jerk doesn't work for you...

Hey , thanks for that sarcastic and kinda rude reply. Being a jerk doesn't work for you so maybe you should try something else. What are you doing on Limewire anyway? Look up "Hypocrite" for something better to do with your time...

murasame December 27th, 2004 03:36 AM

God, I get that a lot recently.
Apparently, people read more than I write in my posts.
Look girl, I wasn't being sarcastic or rude. (ok, so maybe the post came out a little as that and I'm sorry)
Face facts: did you or did you not mention that you wanted to dld Mac OS 10?
(hint: you did)
I really don't know if Apple does that or not.
And buying the disc (X-mas is gone so you just missed your chance) would make you happy precisely because if you had a problem with an application, then all you'd have to do is pop that disc in and restore the app.
Am I right or not?
(I guess I am)

Now, you mention that you tried to download OS 10 but couldn't find one that works.
Assuming that Apple isn't distributing non-working copies of it's products on the internet, then you probably didn't read the rules 'cause you're talking about warez.

As to what I'm doing on LW, then know that I (and everybode else here) am just a LW user that happens to know a thing or two more than a new user and am willing to share that (limited) knowledge with them.

And "Hypocrite"? What was that supposed to mean?

Lord of the Rings December 27th, 2004 05:06 AM

Exactly Murasame, if seaweedsara had have read this http://www.gnutellaforums.com/announ...?s=&forumid=29
then there'd have been no misunderstanding whatsoever. ;)

There's methods of dealing with compressed dmg image files for OS 9. I suspect that's your issue. Toast 5 & possibly Toast 4 pro can do it. You just need to know what you're doing. Yes I say compressed dmg files as compared to just dmg files.

Is it possible to get assistance without attitude?

Is it possible to get assistance without attitude? This is getting fun...aren't we all downloading music/programs/etc. basically for free? no royalties for anyone? So lookup "Hypocrite" again next time you chastise someone looking for answers... My area of expertise is in creativity. Lightwave, Maya, director, photoshop, illustrator, premiere, after effects, quark and sound edit. It's really not a big deal about downloading Mac OS 10, just wanted to know if I needed it to be able to utilize the LimeWire Pro version I gave my $18 bucks for. I really don't see any difference between the free version and the Pro from LimeWire. So calm all your unutilized testosterone down and just be cool, & (we don't call people "girl" in this country frenchie).

All forums have rules & if you ignore them you will be warned. Continue & you will be banned. Simple as that. You have been warned.

I also am graphically trained. Some people might be able to work professionally with wares. But in my circles the answer is no.

Despite telling you to read the forum rules I still helped you. If you don't like it go somewhere else.

The one with an attitude here is you. You ignored the forum rules then got agro b/c a forum moderator made a comment about mentioning wares. And despite receiving help you still want to flame. You have been given a link to the rules which is posted at the top of every section of the forum. So let's leave it at that.

Nothing constructive can be made from continueing this thread so it will be closed. Help was asked & help given.
