Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

1. Make sure LW is set to use Java 1.5 Setting up Java 1.5.

2. Do a safe boot & repair permissions. ie: reboot whilst holding down the shift key until you see Safe booting message. After it's started up, go to Utilities folder, open Disk Utility & choose Repair Permissions. Then reboot normally & try LW again.

Repairing of permissions is a normal maintenance activity that should be done after installing system updates & programs.
