![]() I am so sick of PC users telling me how awesome it is to download music and burn CDs. I heard about limewire and downloaded it- but I can't figure out how you put the mp3s into my iTunes library so that I can burn CDs! I opened my Shared folder and found the songs I downloaded but when I tried to drag them onto my iTunes library it says: "A reference to these files will be added to your music library, but the files themselves will not be moved or copied. If you remove the files, iTunes will be unable to play them. To make sure iTunes can always find these songs, you can move them to your iTunes music folder which is in your Documents folder." So I opened the documents folder, found the iTunes folder, and drug the mp3s in there. No luck- they still won't show up on my library. I even tried to create a file for downloaded mp3s in my iTunes documents folder and that didn't work either. All of my PC using friends think that this is hilarious, so Mac users help me! Thanks, Frusturated in Iowa |

![]() Hi there, Are you running OS 9.2? If so, simply click your Apple Icon and scroll down to Sherlock - search your Hard Drive for Preferences - under that should be the "Shared Folder" from Limewire - then simply click on that folder and you'll see all the songs you downloaded - you can drag and drop them individually in to the "Library" where they will automatically alphabetize - or better yet, you can drag the whole folder and drop it into the library - a message box will pop up - simply click okay and you're in business! vjclay |

![]() Hi: I don't know if this is the same problem, but I have just starte dusing Limewire. At first everything went fine - downloads showed up in the Library and were automatically saved to the file location I had specified - however, now, even if the download is successful, they are not saved to my specified folder and there is no option to "save as" so I can't get my music from the Library to i tunes - I have tried to drag, but LW won't allow this. |

![]() From iTunes 'file' select 'add to library...' (or commandO) select the folder that limewire is downloading to. Select the file you want, click on 'choose'. That's it. To burn your cd from iTunes from 'file' select 'new playlist' when done (keep library size within size of cd-r) insert cd and click on burn cd icon at upper right of iTunes player window. If you want the file itself to be moved, change settings in iTunes preferences to reflect you requirements. (not required) If windows people are laughing at mac people it is because they have finally cracked under the stress of seeing too many 'blue screens of death' ![]() Jeremy |
