HELP! mactella download doesn't look like it should!!!
 

i just downloaded mactella, and it doesn't look at all like the screen shots i've seen. i use a mac cube, system 9. when i select search from the file menu, it comes up with a window that has a space for incoming files, and a space to type in what you want to search for. but the search button is shaded gray, and it won't work. please s.o.s.!!!

Hmmmm.....first, make sure it is connected. You can see how many hosts and files are available. Then try typing something in the search area and click on search. Should work. My search button is grayed out unless I type something in .

Try it and let's see how it works.

i downloaded mactella again and this time, the search button worked, so i tried to search for something. i got nothing back. i tried something more common. it just kept going and going and going. it never stopped searching. thank you'all for yer helpful comments btw... please keep trying.

Mactella seems slow to get moving, so I usually wait until I see there are enough files available before I do a search. So, start up Mactella, give it a few minutes, say...long enough to run to the kitchen for a soda and munchie, then go back and try it.

I also have mp3Rage and LimeWire.

Mactella works, but often it takes so long to get something to download. It is all so frustrating to me too.

wish we could just use audiogalaxy like the pc-ers do!

Oh, looks like a newer release of Mactella is out there today!

You ever try Limewire or mp3Rage? They work for me.

Don't try the new beta of Mactella. I just downloaded it and it crashed the computer twice before I removed it.

Re- Macuser I have also installed the new version and it is uselel. you don't know what speed you are ownloading at, it is oh so slow. The previos version was better but alas I dumped it before I tried the new version (silly me) anyone know where I can download a copy of mactells 1.1
