When I try to download a file (every file) the satus column counts down while it is connecting and then says could not download--What's the deal?

I have the same problem you are having! Even when I do get it to download something it sometimes stops in the middle.
I hope to find the answer and when I do I will update you.

If you are using a firewall program, try disabling it while you download. That seems to work for me.

I've used it with and without a firewall (2 different computers) but i will try again & again & again until i get it to work.....

I reinstalled the software - it works like champ! durring the first install I had a problem restarting - maybe that caused the problem. Any way it's working great now. Oh by the way the osx version works well too- Props to lime wire keep it up.
