i have been able to connect with other programs

Yes, you are right.......................it takes a long time to connect to the FastTrack Network. Try being patient.

connection to FT

ok i still haven;t connected to FT and i definately have in the past

wat is so different about morpheus that causes it to take forever?

swimkid March 17th, 2004 05:25 AM

i have now abandoned morpheus becasue it wont connect to FT and when it downloads it does this annoying thing where it gets to like 90% and then will look likes it's done but then go right back!

Morpheus could take up to 20 mins to connect to FastTrack, make sure you update your Morpheus on each new release, because it is greatly improved on each version.

20 minutes??? Why not just switch to an other client instead of waiting months for the updates?

Perhaps they shouldn´t offer fasttrack before this is fixed?

There are better clients without any crapware and other bullshit which are able to connect to the same networks!!!

The bundled adware can easily be removed, as i stated in another thread.

I read I other post that Morpheus won´t work after this... and really why should I download Morpheus and remove the bullshit after every update when there are DOZENS OF FREE clients?

Perhaps somebody should offer a clean version because Morpheus is open source. Are you interested? :)

I removed it on my machine - no problems at all

Yepyep, I'm running the latest version of Morpheus (4.0.7.246 as of this moment) and it has been running for about 3 hours or so now, and I'm not getting connected to the Fasttrack-network either... The other networks connect ok as they should (well Fasttrack should too, I suppose) but Fasttrack just keeps saying that it is "connecting..."

I'm running Windows XP with all the necessary SP's, no router, NISP2004 (and yes, I have given full access to Morpheus and the ML), and I have removed the adware-thingamajics from Morpheus

So... is the MLDonkey-thingy really working like it should? Seems to be pretty odd that one client can't get a decent connection for the Fasttrack-network, especially because this was mainly the reason I opted to try Morpheus in the first place...and unless this can't be sorted out I'm going back to Shareaza / eMule
