My understanding of the GPL (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) is that nobody is required to release the source for anything that isn't statically linked into the program. The spyware, being a seperate DLL, isn't statically linked to the Morpheus client. So Morpheus is still in compliance with the GPL even by not releasing the code for the spyware. |
