Reply of bandwith and connection issue
 

I don't want to argue the issue since I believe the results and the facts I see before me using testing and trials instead of "my un-educated opinions" I have done several tests and like I said the results speak for themselves. I get more hits with more connections... period. I have tried Bearshare for the first time. I didn't like it personally, but I am going to search around for a better interface that doesn't Microsoft me to death (meaning: chooses what they think I need instead of what I want in a program) Now don't get me wrong, I think Limewire is far better a interface for sharing but use default settings for people that don't know the program and allow the user to decide if they want to use more connections.

I am not saying that you are wrong. You are right that you will get more search results by having more connection. However, if everyone have 100 connections for the same reason as a leaf node. There will be no network or a darn useless one. That's all I am trying to say.

If it bothers you why don't you just change it?

When I upgraded, the limit of 4 bugged me, I wasn't getting as many search hits as before, and my downloads were suffering as a result, so I just fired up vi and up it a little. Its that simple.
