Wish list

What is the wish list in the new version. Limewire implements new features, but the user guide never tells you how to make these features work. I see the button "wish list" when I first bring the program up, however it is "dimmed". When I first get results from a search the button changes over to download and it is gone. What the heck is it for, and how do I use it?

Update the user guide with detailed instructions, before you release a new version.

I agree that having full information on each of the new features would be nice - but I disagree that new versions should be held up until the manual is updated.

Manuals are harder to write than programs. If we had to wait for someone to update the manual, we'd never have any new software releases (and the new features are worth having as soon as possible at the moment).

Or, I could argue that since the software is Open Source, you have all the documentation you could ever need in as much detail as you could ever want - just go and read the source code.

Or, you could read all the forums. The information is pretty much buried, but then it would be in a manual as well.

However, my understanding of the wishlist is:

If you do a search that returns no results then that search is put into the wishlist so that you can access it (try it again) at another time. If all your searches always return at least one result the the wishlist will not make any difference for you.

Your points make a certain amt. of sense, however, Limewire's user's manuals are completly online. You certainly made it pretty clear what and how the wish list worked (for which I am grateful), in as few as two to three sentences. Limewire is not the most complicated program in the world to run and operate, and I still believe that as few truly new features that limewire comes out with with each new version, and since the manual is online, not printed that they can document the new feature in 10 mins.

That being said, I still think they should have the documentation ready before the release is downloadable (what is 10 mins to them or use)
