New Feature Requests Your idea for a cool new feature. Or, a LimeWire annoyance that has to get changed. |

a send request I'm sure someone has thought of this before but... how about a feature that allows a user to send a file to a specific IP or user name. Then the other person can decide if they wish to accept a direct send request (different from a regular download so as to avoid people sending viruses or spam). This would work like IRC but many steps could be taken to avoid the aforementioned problems like a list that would "enable" a sender so that one's client would only accept requests from those ip's on the list. Is this at all possible. It would really be cool, like if you get to chattin with someone (not that anyone ever chats on limewire anyway) they can send files directly to you and bypass all that other bullcrud. I don't know if this is actually possible or if it should be logged in the realm of sci-fi, but in IRC it happens all the time. |
