show ip's in search window again? new method: show two of the numbers
 

I am a Limewire 2.1.3 devotee, solely because I can see the ip addresses in the search window.

If this feature was taken out for privacy reasons, then perhaps displaying the first (or last) two numbers of the address could fulfill both the desire for privacy and user-friendliness.

It makes it so much easier to tell which downloads are likely to work or not work.

IP numbers haven't been removed - they just aren't shown by default.

On windows - right-click the headers on the search page and you will be given a list of possible headers - you want to enable 'Location' which will show the IP address.

There's an appropriate click for MACs - but I don't know what it is.
