by jove i think ive got it! scud u need 2 calm down youre taking things WAY 2 personally we can both have opinoins w/o either of us being wrong the evangelion thing was meant to be a joke u can say im not funny but dont get so mad about it im gonna drop all the stuff we've said b4 and just announce that i have come up with the 1 feature that would make limewire the ONLY gnutella client to get what we need is a "reschedule" button in the download area! heres what it does: 1. if the file says "couldnt download" it would keep the file in the que even after limewire closed and opened (curently 2 my knowlege 'couldnt download' files are the only ones deleted) 2. if the file is downloading then it would put the status to "hold" and terminate the connection until the user does a force resume this would fix both the 0.0 download problem and when u are downloading 3 files form someone on a 56k modem that has way to many download slots open. well thats it i would LOVE to see this button in the new version of limewire thats it- keep the forums fun & friendly! |

check other clients You should also check out other clients... They already have similary features like your button but all automatically... |
others suck i have tried several other clients bearshare imesh etc and almost every 1 of em make it IMPOSSIBLE to do ANYTHING online while the client is running (mind you i have a p3 866 w cable inet) if you have sugestions on which clients i welcome them however o ya and 1 more feature req: can i cut and paste please? being the original poster here i am disapointed taht i dont believe any 'official' limewire guy has responded like in some of the other threads i read techs where are u!?!?!? |
My personal favorit is Phex and I have no problems running it with other programs on my p2 266. The new 0.5 release is awesome. It automaticly finds new download candidates and tryes forever till you got the file. |
