.mp4 filter recognition

Just began using Gnutell/LimeWire 2.6.3 with Mac G4. Wanted to share my own collection which I am saving in the QuickTime v6 .mp4 (MPEG4/ACC/ISMA compliant) format and was disappointed to note that the "library" filter does not recognize this extension. Am hoping this will be rectified in the near future. (Am currently saving files with .mpg extension and noting mp4 format type as part of the title name.)

Sorry, "faux pas" by new user. Just discovered that by adding "mp4" to preferences, all my problems were solved. Feel like a fool.

There has already been recent additions to the list of default shared extensions. and the list of extesions to search for each media type. This list is regularly updated, before user complains. Still you can always add your own safe extensions.

For security reasons, LimeWire does not share ALL extensions by default, because it shares a folder and its subfolders, and a user could share sensible files with personal info, and because some antivirus add some files in folders that should not be useful to share outside of the local host. So by default it shares only the file types that people typically download or publish on the web.
