Default Chimes - Audio Alerts on File Download Status

Dear Mr/Ms LimeWire Developer,

I find that most times when I walk away from the pc with a download taking place the download is interupted for some reason.

Sometimes it will restart automatically, but I find it much faster to just abort the download and start again from the same host.. this also seems a bit more reliable to re-commence where it left off.

Please add distinctive chime alerts for the following:

- a successful download;
- a download is interupted;
- download is interupted but does not recommence within a predetermined time, say, 5 mins (or selectable by the user); and
- an interupted download re-commences.

These should also swichable, because I am sure not everyone wants to hear Limewire chiming away all night.

Do this and I can work in peace on the pc without going back to ensure the downloads are happening... and my lady-friend will not acuse me of looking like an expectant father, going back to the pc to check download status every 15 mins or so.

Regards
Phillip.

This is a good idea. It is much like the sounds that used to be standard with modem management programs (Procomm,etc) years ago when connectivity was not so reliable.

I also wander away from the computer, only to come back and find downloads have dropped out and i would use the d/l complete and the d/l interrupted sounds if they were available.

It could also allow you to add your own distinctive sounds for each function.

Cheers

/Kim
