Upload speed and time useing client 2.7.3 Under monitor tab, and someone is uploading, speed and time are already shown while in process, but disappear when upload is complete. I am requesting that they not disappear. I want to know what kind of uploads I'm providing for clients connected to me and what kind of bandwith is being consumed. actual completion time would also be helpfull to determin what time the upload took place. example Name Host Size Status Chat Progress any song 64.1.1.21 2654KB Complete :) 100% Speed Time Date Vendor/Version 24.5KB/S 124 Sec 11/1/02 1:59 PM Limewire/2.65 |
Umm... can't you go into Tools->Options->Uploads and uncheck "Auto-clear Completed Uploads" ??? -Jerrod Hofferth |
he's asking for the speed & time to stay -- even if the uploads themselves aren't clearing, the speed & time do blank out when the upload completes. it's a neat suggestion, i just dunno if it'd be confusing to people who will think that it stalled somehow. what about a tooltip that'll display the time the upload started & the time it ended (and maybe the same with downloads)? speed would be kinda confusing -- would you want the speed at the very last second before it finished, or the overall average speed [which could very well mean nothing], or the highest, or lowest ? |
Ahh... yes--- In that case, I agree completely (I've thought about it myself, just didn't read his post right). Definitely display *average* speed--- last second speed would be pointless (but much easier to implement, I'd imagine... but I'm no programmer) ;-) -Jerrod H. |
just fyi -- the current development code now displays the start time, end time, time spent, and average bandwidth of uploads & downloads as a tooltip unique to each row. |
