Question Privacy concerns

The RIAA as many know is going after Kazaa users planning to sue those sharing a very large amount of music files. Can they do that to limewire users too ? They also say they will search the computers of file shareres to see what other files we have. Looking through the computers of users to see their other shared files used to be a feature of Limewire is it still a fearture in the newest version 3.2? What steps are being taken to protect our privacy?

Maybe running a proxy server or connecting via an annonymous proxy server would do this? But I don't know if Limewire allows proxy connections, since it needs your real IP to tranfer file to and from your computer... :-(

LimeWire doesn't need your real IP, but LimeWire doesn't come with built-in proxy support. You have to configure a firewall or something to take care of proxying all packets.

if you had a feature that deny access for IP:s belonging to RIAA for example and the list was somehow updated automatic (does not kazaa lite do that) or insteed of denying access you could play nice and send them all the info they whant and more, much MORE.

if RIAA up on searching get lots of generated fake not real hits, and while you are at it
implements a DDOS function in the client that will attack RIAA.

should not all the gnutella users be able to give RIAA a kick in the ***?

What prevents the RIAA from using dialup/dynamic IP connections to spy the network? Maybe even mine or your ISP? Such lists are pretty pointless!
