status tags question
 

I am using 3.4.7 Pro on Mac OS9.

Is it possible to manually change the text for the status indicators. I like to sort by status, but I would like to arrange the status nomenclature to group active vs. inactive statuses. A few versions ago, this was the case, with "need more sources" not present, so all waiting items were grouped under "awaiting sources". Thus, I could achieve a meaningful sort under status.

So, is there a way for me to change those tags for myself, or some way to incorporate this idea as a preference?
