 The feature list in 4.0 is now closed. The sources have been marked with 4.0.0 labels, meaning that only critical bugs (or installer issues) will be fixed now. The final version will be 4.0.1 or 4.0.2, but there will be no major change now. All new features will go to another release, whose experimentation will start in 4.1 betas (in parallel with bug fixes in the 4.0 branch if there's an emergency to do this for the downloadable released version), for a official release in a few months in a next 4.2 or 5.0 version.
