"Recycle Bin" to restore killed DL

There should be a "recycle bin" within Limewire. Whenever someone accidently kills a download, he/she can go to the recycle bin to recover it, instead of losing it and having to restart from 0% again.

This would be a great feature to say the least I have lost several down loads by clicking on the Kill D/L by mistake a confirmation dialog would work well too but any thing that allows me to recover them would be a welcome improvement

clearly handling the disk space would become un managable I'd be content with a confirmation dialog

The latest beta gives a confirmation dialog when deleting a file from the library pane (but I would prefer if the file were also moved to the trash/recycle bin).

Downloads "killed" on the Search Pane can be recovered by clicking on the download in the Library->Incomplete pane and clicking the Resume button.

I am aware of the incomplete panes but it doesnt addres my problem of having a file "awaiting sources" if the d/l hasnt begun then its a hit or miss in locating the file again thus a confirming dialog when Kill download is inadvertently clicked on gives the user one last chance to recover from their error

If you have LW 4.x.x then small icons appear on the left of the search results. These icons include a folder with a green arrow pointing to the folders "innards" (:D) for files that are already being dlded and a white paper sheet with a green "V" mark showing files that have already succesfully dlded.
For files that have been killed before dld completion, the icon will be a torn white paper sheet, cut in half. Find the file you were dlding and download it again. It will restart from where it left off when you killed it.
This is good because it may provide LW with new sources for dld.

interesting . this must be a funcrion of LW pro as the basic version usually leaves a zero k file in the incomplete folder though once in a while it will pick up the partially downloaded file and resume from there ( not consistantly) I still say a confirmation dialog would eliminate the need to try to start over

No it isn't. Basic also has this function. It's kind of a way to complement the lack of a Pause button (which, if I'm right, will be implemented in the 4.2.x series, yay!).
If you can't see the icons then you have an older version of LW: update it.
If you can see them but the incomplete dlds will not restart from where they left off, then maybe it's a Java problem. If you search in the Incompletes folder in the Library pane, you might find multiple copies of the incompete file you are looking for. Each one should have different sizes. Resume the one closer to the completion percentage that the dld had before you killed it.
If that won't work, then the solution I posted before should work.

thanks,
Im presently using v4.07 it's probably a Java problem then. I have never seen the icons you desribe excepting the folder to indicate the fie is being downloaded, but none of the others. & the incompleted files usually indicate a ø kb file size anyway this is drifing way off the original topic a confim dialog would eliminate this specific problem
regards

Well, here's a screenshot of said icons from the PC version.
Try changing the skin (under View).
