What's new with specific file-types

I think "what's new" searches would benefit greatly from file-type specific searches (so clients don't just answer with their three newest files, but with their three newest files of the selected file-type).

I think there was some discussion about that some time ago in the GDF with an extension-list (which shouldn't be hard-coded, so it can be changed without too much hassle, when new file-formats are being developed).

Also nice would be keyword-limited what's new searches (with at most one keyword, so they still give standard resources without having to query deep).

That way we could easily find the newest "trailers", "ebooks", and similar....

How about making this with an editable drop-down list below the file-types table?
"Special types" or so?

That avoids newbes querying for non-avaible content all the time (and experienced users can still adjust their "What's New" searches)

that would be a great idea and i find that it might solve many codec problems. but somepeople might find this window useless and anoying and lets not forget we need to update it. I like the idea but there should be an on and off feature
