Is it possible to upgrade my LimeWire?

Hi Y'all! :D

I have 4.0.5 pro, and I'm keen to try 4.0.8 cos theyve talked it up pretty well, do i have to wait until my sub runs out to get the latest? or is there an upgrade option somewhere ......

One interesting idea I just had is..... LimeWireBank!!! All you'd need is password protection. Each byte could represent 1 dollar!!! Yeaaah! Think about it! Each dollar is just a bit of plastic right, in a world full of bits of plastic, just that the dollars represent money! So..., "Money Bytes" would represent money too, eventually replacing it of course. But you'd have to be careful not to mix up your "money bytes" with all the other bytes huh. Upon reflection, the appeal of this idea rests mainly on the appeal of the logo... but ..

Anyways, great service this LimeWire hey. That Bitzi lookup is a great feature - next time i d'load a dodgy file i'll bitzify it to let you all know about it. Please feel free to do the same.

peace in,

The only rubies around here are at the jewellers, but there's still plenty of gold in dem wombat mounds. lol What part of down under RU from?

You can update LW pro anytime. You can obtain updates to pro anytime up to 6 mths after you purchase lw pro. I've never tried 4.0.8 (I jumped from 4.0.4 to the betas which arer now up to 4.1.7) You can update to pro 4.0.8 or you can even try out the beta Pro version 4.1.7 which has many improvements including pause dwnlds, etc. in more detail here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=29245

Thanks a lot for the advice, LOTR! 4.1.7 looks great!

Well I'm 'from' Christchurch, NZ, but now live in the beyoodiful Tweed Valley, just south of the Queensland border... lived in Perth, way, way over west, for awhile too... This valley is what remains of a massive old caldera, with the plug (Mt. Warning, 1200m) and sides in the form of sheer ranges to the north west & south. ~the beach is to the east:D~. Very striking scenery. Murwillumbah's basically a country town, but its only a 20min drive to Gold Coast Intl airport. Sweet place, believe me.

There are no wombats around here, but there are koalas, and little marsupial rodents called bandicoots. and sneks. lol, & yeah the main natural resource is actually sugar cane, which replaced bananas hehe

thanks again,

Good to hear! It's great isn't it. And 4.2 sounds it will be even better.

Ahh so you're in cane toad territory (joke.) Have you heard of a place called Thargominda. Sheep in the desert territory where there's no grass, only tree shrubs they eat. Obviously I's joking about wombats (they don't build mounds, lol.) I'm south. I have a relative visiting around the gold coast as I write. Great weather!

4.2?!? Great!! Limewire just keeps getting better & better!

On that note...You wouldnt be able to swing a local Limewire t-shirt run would you? I mean, being a super mod and all. :D I'm sure it'd boost local & sthrn hemisphere sales ! Bang em on eBay!!!

Thargominda....no havent heard of that place, to be frank it sounds pretty austere. Jeez the outbackers do it tough! Hats off to them. We have is pretty good here... there arent so many cane toads, just the odd one or two... SO FAR. I'm waiting on the porch for em, with ma dubble barrel shotgun. But first I'll set the wommies on em...

with best regards,
