what i want

On each start of LW, the default column sort is by #. Is there a way to change this? I just wanted to know before posting in the new features section here.

Remember last search TYPE (i.e. audio, video, images, etc.). Since I would guess that many users use Limewire only for a particular type of file (such as audio) that would save most of us a click

Add drop down arrows to the taps (or what they are now). I don’t like to use the ctrl key

Research button for corrupted downloads

I would like a pull down, either a separate box or from the title box that would have a list of previous search terms. This way I don’t have to retype things like cute kittens and love poems.

I'm not sure about the windows version, but the mac version remembers which was the previous search type. But not each time you open LW. On the mac, if you Control+Click onto the top of the column bar you get many more options for sorting & columns to display. I don't know what the equivalent keyboard key to use for this is on windows LW. ALso do the same click on other parts of LW & you find more options in drop down window choices.

Research button: if you utilise magnetmix & search bitzi you can find out about files.

So basically, all the things you request are already within LW. You need to investigate a bit more to find them. ;)

I forgot to mention if you click or double-click on the top of column bar it will change the sorting arrangement. eg: double-click on Name & reults will sort alphabetically. d-click on file type & files will be arranged by file type.

not so fast...

Re-search. double click on a bad file will start a search for that item automatically.

remember columns and remember search types each time you start the program. i hate sort by #, and have to switch each session. it should be in the pref.

also, the list of terms without having to type a letter drop down is not available, nor is remembering search terms once you shut down

p.s. I'm running osx 10.3

(and don't forget the edit menu :) ) btw--did you notice how the delete key and command select/shift select have been added?

FWIW, some of your requests are on the wishlist http://limewire.org/wishlist.shtml

cheers
