Organisation, More features for the Library

I really think the limiwire´s programmers have done a really good job in the program; everything is really good, excellent speed, no adware, pretty clean files....

But when it comes to the part to play the music in the Library it is really bad. It is really hard to find the song you want, there are almost no options in that section, when u play the songs it wont continue so u have to double click each song you want to play, it isn’t organized....

So what I suggest is that you consider working more on the Library on the next version instead of just focusing in the download upload network part.

I would like to have this included in the library:
Search Songs Option
Continuous Playing
More Organization:
Like an ipod, have a folder with all the songs, an option to shuffle and play all the songs, options to sort by genres, authors, rating, song name, etc.

If you read this an are interested or need help, I know some programming in VB, Delphi and c++, send me an email to dirkbreeuwer@gmail.com

Sounds like a great idea. I have a suspicion that in order to improve the media player & functions would require more ram (such as locking/isolating ram into the media player to stabilise it more), but that won't please those that only have limited ram on their systems. Since I am not a LW developer I wouldn't know about that. The closest I've come to it is designing a multimedia player in conjunction with Director with some fancy levels & controls, etc. And that's a long way from ... lol :D Just a passing thought. Good idea but! ;) Hope the developers take your concept to task!!!

How well do you know Java? (I haven't seen C for a long time lol - in it's earlier times)

Yes I also think it would take up some other ram, but there are solutions and other ways to do it. And well I am not sure but I dont actually think LimeWire takes too much ram.

Sorry for the double post but I got an idea.

How about u add a feature to the Library like the one in the search. (u know the on in the left, after u searched something, I think its called filter)

and u add it to the library so it would be way easier to find the songs you want, and u can listen just to any genere u want.

Hope u read this :)

All these ideas are slated to be added to the library in some future version. The filters for search results were intentionally written in an extensible way so we could put them into the library at some point.

lol How about a size type search which is further enhanced with a (perhaps invisible) size filter! Hey why didn't I think of that before! lol :D

I did notice in the Jum build some size type filter but very exprimental - it would help if you guys could work together occasionally on some of these ideas. I think Jum comes up with some great concepts! ;) Just a thought! And likewise Arsenalxl's ideas.
