Set the downloading speed

Hi everyone,

Can we set the downloading speed of our files which are in que?

For example- if i downloading three files A, B, C and I want to set the downloading speed A=10, B=6 and C=4. Can we do this in limewire?

Thanks

Not exactly, but perhaps indirectly.

You can queue the priority of files in the downloads Panel, and set the number of files that download concurrently in the options.

So, with only three concurrent downloads, with A having the top priority, you might get something close to what you want.

Setting Order of Downloads in Que

I don't know how to do this as you alluded to it. Can you pleaase tell me how to to this? I tried to do it and all I can get is the pop-down window with a few options, of which none included is priority.

How About This...

Here's an idea about connection speeds. I for one get a little annoyed with people that have their connection speeds set to...for example, a T1 but are only on 56K dialup. If you have your settings to only look for connections that are say no lower than a DSL, only those in the range you specify will show up in your search results. So you connect to them thinking they are on a T1 and your download transfer rate is 3K/sec. and it's frustrating. So I would suggest that if it is possible to to have Limewire autodetect your connection and place you in the corresponding category based on that connection speed. How does that sound? Good idea? Or Bad idea?

Great Idea

I know that I am honest when I say what my connection is. I get that "Turbocharged" status in my lower left corner. If Limewire can detect that on my computer, it should be able to capture that and send it on up as part of one's connection speed.

Great idea!
