LimeWire is not for children. No matter what kind of parental controls you add to the software: 1) Every 13 year-old will find ways of circumventing it. 2) No filter will be good enough to keep kids from obtaining material they shouldn't have access to. |
How about this problem...I'm 18 and I download music like the rest of you. My problem is my dad is downloading porn. I hate it being on my computer. I really wish there was a parental control that I could put on there to use against my dad. It is a family computer and I dont think that the rest of us need to be involved in that. |
Parents??? Dear ibchillin05 As mentioned before, we have had parents that say they want facilities to protect their children but what protection do you give to children with irresponsible parents? Sorry ibchillin05, until you can move out and start your own home you are well and truly stuck. UK Bob |
ibchillin05 - Greetings On a pc shared by adults and assuming you old-man's pornography is content-legal what is the problem? Do you really have the right to censor and block his activities any more than he would with your taste in music? You could set up seperate user accounts if it's an XP system. Then neither of you would offend the other with his/her content. |
Live with it. I dont see whats wrong with porn if it doesnt have viruses or anything. It a natural thing and you cant stop people from doing it. |
