Shareaza net!

I guess my request goes in here, I downloaded Shareaza and I found out that it shows a lot more search results than limewire, but the fact is that i hate shareaza, is kinda complicated, the file management is akward, I prefer way better to use Limewire, its simple, elegant and the iTunes integration is great, hope to find out that limewire has better and more results than shareaza, along with a lot of requested features I already read on this forum. Cheers from Mexico.

Shareaza is actually multinetwork. Which may explain why you're getting good results. However it's Gnutella 1 integration is very very old.

LOTR, its Gnutella.. dont go making et_voila rant on about this... ;) "gnutella2"/"g2"/"mikes protocol"/"mp" was to better market there own network.

I know what you mean, but I was saying that using multinetworks at the same time may have its superficial benefits for finding results, but those people who do can generally only offer miserly uplds when they're using multinets simultaneously. Gnutella 1 being one of them. These programs should only be used on one network at a time. On gnutella 1, they are often refered to as "leeches".

Salut guys! I love those threads ;) Now yeah Shareaza gets more results, but those results are slow when dling them contrary to Gnutella only clients. G2, for exemple is a fork of Gnutella. Only Raza fans call Gnutella "G1" so they can market their "G2". G2 hasn't been improved at the protocol level since its creation and is a poor performer compared to Gnutella, techology speaking.

Any multinetwork app is plague as they use ressources of other to survive instead of investing time in actually developping P2P technologies.

Now you know how I like Raza, Morph, Mesh, mlDonkey et al

Ciao!

Well then... LimeWire is it!

I guess I know now, it's true that limewire gives me more accurate results and much faster downloads, but it's true too that Shareaza gives me some results I don't find anywhere else, I guess I'll keep both, use Limewire as mi prime P2P app and only will use Shareaza if I don't find anything in LW. Cheers.

shareaza is a pretty decent app when its only connected to its proprietary network "g2" and nothing else. otherwise, id ditch the app. i too see things on g2 that i couldnt find on gnutella, but thats mostly ebooks and such non-audio content.
