anti-lamer

I've been experiencing some hard times with lamers:

What I would like to see:
1. a way to block someone's IP from 'seeing' my computer. I have had (and currently having) incidents where one person is pounding my computer for 14 hours for a file. It would be nice if I could turn around, block that person so that they wouldn't even know I was on the network.

2. max downloads per person. I'm having an incident right now where one person is trying to download about 20 songs at once from me. The person has been pounding my computer for the past two hours to get the same 20 files.

I really like the anti-freeloader stuff put into LimeWire (max number of files needed to be considered not a freeloader), and would like to see some more stuff put in place to get the leeches out of Gnutella so those of us that are helping the network can actually keep it going.

Blocking

With LimeWire version 1.7 you can block an IP address.

Tools>Options>Filters>Hosts

You can use a firewall such as Tiny Personal Firewall and add a rule to block any IP or range of IPs from connecting to you.

Thanx for the info on blocking an IP!!! I didn't realize that was there.

Again, thanks!
