Download DVD's

Hello All,

I have a question regarding the LimeWire Basic thingy I am running, I am happy with it, but originally I was getting emails about upgrading it so I could download DVD movies. I declined the offer at the time (at a special price too) and now I want to upgrade it so I can get both music and DVD. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I do this?

Thanks heaps.:D

Umm, did you get your LimeWire through the official site? www.limewire.com Because I have LimeWire basic and I can download both songs AND movies with it.

Thanks for the reply, I did get it from the official site, and I paid for it. I can get video clips, and movie trailers. The problem is I can not get DVD movies, apparently in a computer format that can be played on DVD players???? Where or how do I find these.

I echo Cybrstalker's Um ...... Limewire basic will download and upload files of all types. You may need extra software or codecs on your computer to play some of them, but VLC is widely recomended as a video player which will play most things.

This is the official site.

Limewire do not try to make you upgrade with e-mails, only a message on the bottom of the application and a pop up when you open it. The basic version of Limewire is free of charge. The pro costs US$18.88

If you have a DVD Burner (I don't) You will know what format you need your files to be in to burn them and search on Limewire for files of that type. I believe avi and mpeg are the ones to look for burt I stand to be corrected on that.

Perhaps you should take a look at this thread aswell:

Oh Well Guys...it would appear that I am the victim of a scammer. I now see thanks to your great replies, that LimeWire is free, and that it should also download DVD's. I am grateful that I did not pay for this bogus service as well.

Thanks heaps.

 :D
