yea but ya see judging by your signiture "Mac OSX 10.3.9 G3 Blue & White Limewire4.9.37Pro Phex2.8.0.91 Frostwire4.9.34 Beta
Java 1.4.2_09"

your on a mac the mac version has equalizers.....the one on my mac works perfectly...but I dont have the 6 12" woofers hooked to the mac :( and its a mac so obviously it would be easyer to fix then on a PC ide have to reformat my computer to fully fix the itunes which I dont got the time to do :(

VLC will play most things on both mac & pc for both video & audio (thought it's basically a video app.) It's abilities: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html

Have you been thru the iTunes forum (iPod Forum (Choose iTunes - win/mac section). There's heaps of 3rd party stuff for iTunes. Audio & visual plug-ins. The thing that gets me though is that despite an Ogg plug-in, the newer versions of iTunes think it's video material & now puts ogg vorbis files into the video playlist. lol :D

BTW if you ever wanted a decent freebie audio converter & editor, get http://audacity.sourceforge.net/windows.php & there's a version for both windows & mac. It imports/exports mp3, ogg vorbis, wav, aiff. It also has audio filters/plug-ins & can utilise VTC plug-ins, import midi, etc.

You seem to be right about win iTunes. Win iTunes has no custom eq abilities.
