 Spywarez and the performance hit. Personnally I hate the idea of spyware - but I through a 6Gb drive in a system and loaded up a few of these monsters. Those background processes and bandwidth usage add up. Since Limewire is GPL - someone went in and did a sanitized version called Clean LimeWire - which is what I use currently. you can try going to www.cleanlimewire.com It will most likely redirect you - maybe to http://cleanlimewire.jaha.dk/index.html Give it a shot.  |
