Lightbulb Virus portection

A few files i have opened were just viruses i think limewire should scan content of .zip and other files to check for viruses instead of just leaving us to find out

LimeWire can't control what people share. In any way. It's up to the user to read the forum stickies, be aware that unsafe files are a fact of life now & make sure that they have a good, up to date AV program. Always scan a file before you open it

Downloading .zip files is always risky. Please read this sticky

I think that there should be an option that scans files automatically after we download the file saving us the time of opening our scanner and doing it ourselves.

Does LW have the ability to filter certain file sizes? For example, all the 813.8, and 134.4 KB files..

Default Av

You could also try the free version of ProcessGuard too, just in case the mouse slips and you open a exe or zip. It will protect you. Hopefully in future versions of LW, they will implement AV integrated scanning
