im new to lime wire and i wanted to know how you take songs and burn them onto a cd? and how to transfere songs onto a different media player?

To add music to your media player you have to know where it's saved. In your LW library tools > options > saving will show you where your saved folder is. This is where you'll have to look when you add to your media player. In your LW library, clicking on Saved Files & then Explore will open your saved folder for you
