I had to stop sharing all my pr0n goodness because a few dozen clients were hammering my system every few seconds.

If a client fails to connect (*especially* if it results in a File Not Found error!!) more than x times in a minute, LW should ban their IP address automatically.

No warnings, no nothing. Just refuse any communication. Hopefully people running those clients will give up hammering the best servers and play nice.
