Hi, newbie, need help with limewire

Hi, everyone this is my first time on here, not sure if i`m posting in right place so sorry if not.

I`m having problems with my lime wire, been using it for about four weeks now and up until today had no problems. I launched a kids programme for my children to watch that i had downloaded last week and they have watched several times before, it worked fine but then when i went to launch a different programme which has also been watched before it wouldn`t work. I then found that every video that had been downloaded what not work and video`s that i was currently downloading could not be previewed and i don`t know why. please help :aweof:

Well you posted in the Phex forum. Have you tried Phex?

Get the VLC media player as you sound like your computer is having codec issues...
VLC is free and it has all the codecs pre-installed...
VLC media player - Overview

To view files whilst downloading you will more than likely have to have this codec pac (if you are on XP)
Download XP Codec Pack 2.0.8 - XP Codec Pack is one of the most complete codec pack

Besides: You stumbled into the Phex Forum with your question, which also is a Gnutella p2p Program, but isn't LimeWire.

Maybe that had a reason, and you should give Phex a try...

Have a nice day :)
