I am not an advanced user of computer so please do not use complicated terms when replying.
I have just downloaded phex 3.2.0.102, but could not seem to get any connections. The connection at the bottom left hand corner shows 0. I tried changing the firewall setting, allowing exceptions for the phex programme, i also opened a port, which is 13241, the port which I am listening to when using the phex programme. I've tried re-starting the router, re-starting phex, but it didn't work. Please help! Thanks, someina |

In my experience, D-Links are best port forwarded. PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall & look down left column near bottom for your model. Although Phex is not on the list, choose LimeWire but ignore the first part about LimeWire settings. The very first step & most important step is setting up a static ip; Setting up a Static ip & then follow the port forward instructions however use the port you have set for Phex, not the one shown for LimeWire. After this process, save your settings. Some D-Link routers you need to reboot them to help save & get the changes into action.

Could you try quitting and restarting Phex? (be careful to really quit it, don't just let it disappear into background)

Could you try to copy the IP shown in the network tab and enter it into your webbrowser?
Do you see a page?

I don't know if i get you correctly, but what i did was copied my I.P. address and tried to open it up in firefox. It was a blank page.

The IP address with port (the number after the colon)?
If that one brings up a blank page, then your firewall or router or ISP (the one you get your internet from) still blocks requests to Phex.
