Default stop firewall?

Just got phex, (first filesharing program on this computer) I do not wish to turn my (zonealarm)firewall off. please advise w' detail procedure as I ain't a savy! is there a general host name or IP that I can enter in "trusted" zone.

No general hostname or IP, sorry. p2p Programs connect to the whole itnernet, because tehy connect people to people, not just computers to a certain server.

I don't know if it's possible with your firewall to enable a certain process to access the whole net.

Just try to google for "zonealarm open ports".

The port to open can be found in the Phex network pane (where the connected hosts are shown). Below the list of hosts, there is an IP (after "My IP"/"My address").

The number after the colon (":") is the port you need to open.
