My whole computer crashed when I tried to DL

I tried to download this program and my computer crashed...it would not even turn on! I took it back to the store and when they opened the computer, they found that the whole board was "burned." They had to replace the whole computer and I lost everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is up with that?
