wildcards for host blocking

forgive me if this is mentioned somewhere else, but i'm looking for a way to block an entire subnet of hosts. basically, i'd like to block private IP blocks from showing up in my searches since there is hardly any chance of getting a file from those users. thanks.

I think the preferences give a way to block the hosts that show up with less than a specified number of stars, but I don't think this is what you want. After all, I have had success from some with only one star. I think you should be able to block the hosts you want by going to the host filters section of the preferences and typing something like "198.162.*.*" Let us know if it does what you want.

i tried *'s before i posted. i forgot to mention that. it seemed like a good possibility, but didn't work. currently i'm only accepting 3 and 4 start hits, so that hasn't helped much either.

I have also tried to figure this out... I guess Limewire simply does not support this.

Support for wild cards / subnet masks will be in one of the next versions.
