am i or am i not? i need to send an mp3 via the internet and can't via normal free email. tried zipping it, that didn't work either. am i a spazz for even trying? is it possible for a layperson to do this? if so, how? |
MP3s can be sent over e-mail but you and the recipient need to have enough space for the file. MP3s are already compressed so zipping it probably won't save much space. For free web e-mail services and for an average 3-4 meg MP3 you would probably need to delete some of your mail to send the file, say if you had a 6 MB disk space limit. |
If you are trying to do it over Hotmail they you are out of luck as they have a 1 mb limit. I believe it is possible to use Limewire. get your friend to goto the connect screen and enter your IP. That way he/she should be able to download your MP3 as long as you have it shared. |
RE: Using Email for sending MP3's Get a Free Email account at www.asia1.com IN Singapore. Good site and 10 Megs for Files and 25 megs for pictures etc |
