LimeShop: What does it do?

I was sitting on my computer reading a webpage, and wanted to check the html source. I right click, and am intrigued to see a new option on my context menu. "LimeShop Preferences" which after clicking on it, tells me that I'm Automatically helping out limewire when I make purchases, and that its not going to "trouble me" with confirmation screens. What exactly does LimeShop do? I don't like the implication that its poking around figuring out when I'm buying stuff online, perhaps picking up my address, phone number or credit card number and selling them off to the highest bidder. Can anyone here tell me what its really doing?

Limeshop is not a software, it's rather a web portal...

Are you sure about that? It shows up in Add/Remove Programs. Will Limewire still work if I uninstall it?

More information about LimeShop and what it does can be found here:

Its a shame this faq isn't linked from the Main FAQ, or I wouldn't have had to start this thread to begin with.
