Default Do you need JRE and Java 2 SDK?

Do you need htme both or is JRE included in Java 2 SDK? Did I screw up my system by installing both? (I'm compiling)

Default SDK and JRE

I think the Java 2 SDK comes with a runtime that you can install if you choose. You shouldn't need it since you can run LineWire with the Java binary that's part of the SDK.

I already had the jre when I installed the jdk. I checked, and there is a jre folder inside the jdk folder. It will not mess anything up. There is simply some extra stuff. It appears the one that comes with the jdk has more than the jre alone. Not sure what the difference is.

Because it comes with the developer's kit, the binaries contained with the JDK probably have debug abilities built into them. That's my guess at least.
