After compiling what's the minimal set of files needed?

Sorry I know i asked this before but I couldn't find the post again and what was reccomended in the psot didn't work for me anyway.

My limewire source dir (from cvs) is 20+ megs and I know some people compile their variations and are able to distribute just 2 or 3 megs of stuff for people that just want to run the software. How can I get it down to a minimal number of files and file size after I've run compile core buildjar and compile gui? Thanks!

You can delete all .java files from the com/limegroup/gnutella... directories and build jar files of the rest.

Is there a howto anywhere online on building jar files? I guess that buildjar.bat that comes with the source doesn't do everythign that needs to be done? I take it this is what compresses it down to 2 or 3 megs? Thanks.

you can make a jar with winzip or winrar or whatever. Just make a .zip file and dump all the class files into it. Then rename the .zip to a .jar

Or you can figure out how to run jar.exe in your jdk bin directory..

Just one jar file with ALL the class files from the entire directory tree? what should I name it?
