are there virus risks in downloading programs, music, etc from limewire?

Music (MP3): No Risk. MP3's cannot be infected, since they are decoded, not executed.
Programs: High Risk. Try to not use P2P for program downloads, as they are often Virus or XXX filled. Just my experience . . . Cheers
