Get Vitrua Dub. WWW.Google.com Search

Try getting the DivX codec. The free non-pro version is all you need to play a video. If it still doesn't work, make sure you have the latest Windows Media Player (Not applicable for WinXP).

And what is Vitrua Dub?. There's no results on Google, and a hundred come up for the Virtua Dub spelling.

I think it's meant to be Virtual Dub.

I've never used it, but there you are.

Hm. Looks like a Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premier wannabe for Windows. Shame I don't have the money for a camera.

VirtualDub

VirtualDub is for video editing, converting, etc. And it does a great job at it too. However, though it is possible to preview a video clip in VirtualDub, thats not what it is intended for.

Do not knock VirtualDub :) It may not look like much, but it does much. I've been very happy with it. It isn' to be used for everything, but what it's intended for, it's very good at.

If you are running a PC, please try the link below. There is almost nothing to do- Download the program, install it and just about everything works after that. Install means to simply install, nothing else. You will see if you try it. Be sure to select that the program be included in your Start menu in case you wish to do any configurations (Which are normally not necessary).
Nothing is more simple and more effective for the majority of problems than to simply install this program.

Nimo v5.0 build 7 codecs pack

Sorry, didn't mean to be knockin any programs. Just after using those mondo expensive programs, I didn't expect much from a sourceforge project. After a little more time, I see that what is does do, it does do very well. The render speed with a number of filters is amazing, almost realtime with a cheap old celeron. No real video editing, but I'll keep it for the excellent conversion tools.

If only it could convert those gawdam quicktime movies, tha'd make it invaluble. :D

MamiyaOtaru May 25th, 2002 04:05 PM

LOL at quicktime. No kidding.

And I wasn't offended or anything, not like I made it :) Glad it's found its use with you.
