134 uploads in half an hour On May 24 about 3 in the afternoon California time 66.7.xx.xx uploaded 134 of my files in a half an hour. How can I get speed like that? But.............. You obviously do have the speed. The only way to maintain the tranfer rates you mention is by having a connection equal to yours. You already have the speed. Takes two to tango, right? |
Either you have tons more speed than you thought, or you are using the stats window, which also counts segments of a file as a complete upload. You may have uploaded 134 segments of your files, not the full 134. And posting your ip, email, and online time on the web is just like giving your house number, saying the keys are under the mat, and i'll be out of the house at this time, all on a billboard in times square. Definately not good. |
Hi Ursula I have never been able to (don't know how to) connect to somebody with the same speed and get that many downloads in 3 days much less 30 minutes. What is the secret? How come, after having my library up for grabs for 100s of hours this is the first time it happened? I noticed that the last 4 digits of the members code was Xed out, why is that? The last 4 digits were 73.66 in case you were wondering. Thanks for any help you can send my way Robin |

Try to download from people with a t1 connection. |
ok I can't resist: The last four digits are there because it they got deleted by the moderator. If you had read the small type, it says that. It is not cool to post people's personal information (including your own) without their permission. Also their IP has nothing to do with anything! There is no secret to download/upload speed. Your speed is determined by your connection type and the connection type of the host. test your speed here (broadband) http://www.dslreports.com/stest/0 In Limewire, speed is also increased if you are downloading a song from multiple users. |
