Using LimeWire with Norton Firewall Hi, How do I set up Norton Firewall to allow sharing with others with no risk if possible. please. |
norton firewall from memory, it goes something like this: let the program do an auto configuration for internet enabled programs, and allow it to do it's job. you probably will have a situation occur where you are getting warnings about intrusions, but if you will look closesly you will see they are accessing port 6346. When this happens, check the box to always allow this. If you don't, you won't share, and you will also be interupted a hell of a lot by the warnings. As I say, this is from memory, and I am also using internet security, which I am assuming has the same firewall program. Good luck, and share some files. |
norton firewall Oh, I remember now, if you don't check the always allow this action box, you will greatly limit your ability to connect to other users and get downloads!!! I watched IPs show up that I saw as users who I was trying to get a connection with, and I lost the download ability until I checked that box |
It's working. - thank you. |
You should grant access to the spyware crap they install too , heh geez |

Hi Peerless... Assuming we are talking about PCs---- <Alt> 129 = ü And, that is not the ½ of it! ;) <Alt> and the number keys on the NUMERIC KEYPAD will provide you with all of the extended character set available. Have endless hours of fun discovering them, or find the link which gives them to you! You don't want all the answers too easily, do you? :D It is hard enough to remember only some of them! p.s. <Alt> 137 = ë |
