66.250.52.45 is obviously monitoring searches and posting FAKE files based on those searches.
I searched for a music file that apparently isn't online. 5 minutes earlier, the same searched turned up nothing. Is there anything the Gnutella Network can do about people who do this? I'm wondering if this person is trying to send a virus, or some kind of undesirable program. It would be cool if there was a sort of way to rate people, so this guy/gal could be at the bottom of the barrel. |

I remember a few months ago this happend to me as well. I usually re-search when the search ends and the files I want aren't there -- especially if I just logged on and the number of users is building. After 10 re-searches or so (for a 20mb file), 8 files named what I was searching for popped up from the same user, all with file sizes of 68k or something.
I dont' know why Limewire or Gnutella monitors and lists the searches for everyone to see. This feature should be abandoned. |

That is someone with a modified Gnutella client that creates fake search results for whatever you search for. Everyone should add that IP (and any other obvious spammers that they see) to the filter list under Tools/Options, Filters, Hosts.
